Pendant care

We stand behind each of our products, promising a unique, high-quality keepsake. To ensure the longevity of your pendant, we have a few essential care tips. These keepsakes are worn more frequently than other jewellery, which can lead to faster wear and tear. The following tips will help maximise the lifespan of your pendant.

Keep away from direct exposure to makeup, perfumes, and lotions.
Do not wear in the shower, tub, pool, hot tub, or sauna.
Do not leave in direct sunlight.
If taking certain medications, limit direct skin exposure.
Do not use any silver cleaners or pre-treated cloths on the pendant, only the micro-fiber cloth provided.
Do not wear the pendant overnight. At the end of each day, gently wipe it with the microfibre cloth and place it in the provided storage bag.
Gently wash your pendant in warm water with a phosphate-free, mild dish soap.

The above care instructions apply to all pendants, regardless of the metal; however, they are particularly important for our silver, white gold pendants, and Sterling Silver Gold Vermeiled keepsakes.

We rhodium-plate all our silver and white gold pendants to enhance their brilliant white shine and provide a protective layer over the surface.

Sterling silver specifically is known to lose its luster overtime. Even with the protective coating, and our silver being the highest .925 grade, this can still occur with time. This makes following the care instructions pertinent to long-term wear of these unique keepsakes.

All of our standard sterling silver is nickel plated. If you have an allergy or suspect you may, we encourage you to look at our alternatives such as Allergen Sensitive sterling silver or stainless steel.

Because sterling silver gold vermeil features a precious layer of gold over sterling silver, mindful care is essential to preserve its radiance. Exposure to moisture, friction, and chemicals can gradually wear the gold finish. Following the above care guidelines will help maintain the integrity, brilliance, and longevity of your piece.
